Hi, I'm Liliana.
I'm a service designer based in Lisbon. I help organisations redesign their services with and for the people who live them.
True to its name, Liame lives through connections: for each challenge, I team up with colleagues who bring the skills needed to form the right team for each project.
My path
I started my career in 2009, managing innovation and technology projects. In 2020 I moved into user experience and, from there, into service design.
Those years inside organisations taught me something I still carry: services rarely fail because of one screen or one process. They fail where people and systems don't connect.
It also taught me that change spreads. Like a row of dominoes, one well-placed improvement can move a whole service and the people around it. I believe that if each of us does our part, we can make the world a little better, even if that world is just our neighbourhood or our community.
Why Liame
In Portuguese, liame is the bond that holds things together. That's what I design: the connections that make services work, between the people who use them, the people who deliver them, and the systems in between.
What I believe
Research, strategy, writing, and design work together in every project, adapted to its scope, time, and budget.
I share context and knowledge openly. We are stronger together than on our own, especially when we are diverse.
I look for solutions that make a real difference to each person's life and to the community as a whole.
There is always something new I'm studying. I also teach courses and give talks for schools and organisations.
